The Tale
A fable by the seventeenth-century French writer Jean de La Fontaine, about a man who becomes infatuated by his cat. He convinces Destiny to change her into a woman, but he soon discovers that though her appearance is human, her treats are not. During her wedding night she sees a mouse, and jumps out the bed to chase it.

About The Creation
For this piece I sourced an iconic Antwerp location for my own interpretation of the charcoal drawing from Jean-François Millet, based on a fable by the seventeenth-century French writer Jean de La Fontaine.
